about

Lyrics Ibbotson. - Music Howe, Ibbotson & Chapple.
Gtrs & Vox Keith Howe. Bass – Tim Chapple. Drums & Vox – Alan Ibbotson.
Keyboards – Gareth Young. Tenor Sax – Mike Hawkey.
Backing Vox (Les Femmes, Blacktop, Blues/Rock Resurrection Choir) Jenniver Hulbert & Zoe Morgan
As soon as Alan showed me these lyrics I could hear a cracking Slow Blues in my head but one that warranted so much more than a classic 12 Bar and to me, crying out for a bit of a ‘Gospel touch’ too !
Telling the classic tale of 'Love Gone Bad', this track just grew and grew when we recorded it with the fantastic voices of Zoe and Jen lending that ‘deep southern’ feel to the chorus line and ending phrases.
Atmospheric and Edgy, this just bubbles under with a moody, sultry, southern flavour - Luverly.
